caravan hire Cove Park, Royal Manor of Portland, Dorset
Our caravan is situated in it's own private, gated garden with electric wall lights, overlooking the sea. To the rear is Pennsylvania castle, floodlit at night and over the wall below us to the side is their carp pool. If you are lucky, they will switch on their magnificent waterfall during your stay. We can look across at Rufus Castle (also floodlit in changing colours at night) and beyond and you can watch the fishing boats, yachts, the cross channel ferry and naval ships go out from Weymouth whilst eating your breakfast. At night, you can lie in bed and listen to the waves on pebbles on Church Ope Cove below.
Our well cared for caravan offers comfortable, clean accommodation. The lounge has tv with freeview, ( including radio channels) dvd player, and books to read. The kitchen has a gas cooker, a refrigerator, a microwave, toaster etc. and there is an iron and table top ironing board. The bathroom has a small bath under the shower, particularly suitable for young children. There is a double bedroom, a twin bedroom where the beds can be put together to make a double (both a double and single duvets are supplied), and a pull out double bed in the lounge. There are a couple of portable electric heaters as well as the gas fire in the lounge. Gas cylinder replacements are included, electricity is by £1 coin meter.
The site is 5 star with a little shop for necessities and gifts, a laundry and a small games room.
Open top buses to Portland Bill and Weymouth stop outside the site during the main months and a short stroll into the village of Easton provides more buses, shops of all kinds, take aways and restaurants.
If you are looking for peace, tranquility and beautiful views then you will appreciate our caravan and garden.

Connnected to Dorset only by a road-bridge and the famous Chesil Beach, this 'Gibraltar of the Channel' first became a holiday venue with King George III and Queen Charlotte who made annual visits, "to delight in the different beauties of this romantic spot".
Stone from the Island has provided material for most of London's famous landmarks. Old quarries, beautifully reclaimed by nature, provide a maze of footpaths.
Explore by foot or horseback and discover the secrets of this rural paradise. Find a sculpture park, fossil trees, cave shelters, tunnels, rare flowers, rare birds and a myriad of butterflies - just a few of Portland's 'treasures'. Spectacular cliff walks give panoramic views of Dorset's Heritage Coastline.
All our caravans are located to get the best of the sea views. A footpath provides easy access through grassy slopes, rich in rare flowers, to the sun-trap Church Ope Cove. See the ruined Church with Smugglers graveyard. Adjacent Car Park and plenty of room for sunbathing.
